Give in the future: Donate through your will or estate plan

We all understand the importance of planning for a secure future. Wisconsin Wetlands Association has worked for more than 50 years to help people and communities care for wetlands. You can plan now for a gift that will create your legacy and make a difference for wetlands for generations to come.

You can give a legacy gift (also called a planned gift) to Wisconsin Wetlands Association (WWA) in any of the following ways:

1. Gift of cash and other assets such as appreciated stock
An outright gift of cash is the simplest way to give. Decide how much you wish to donate and have your attorney include your bequest to WWA in your will or trust or as a codicil (amendment) to your will.

See below for sample language for designating a bequest to Wisconsin Wetlands Association for its general charitable purposes in your will or trust.

2. Designation as beneficiary of retirement plan or IRA
You can name WWA as a beneficiary of your retirement accounts, including pension plans, profit-sharing plans, stock bonus plans, Keogh Plans, 401(k) plans, and Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs). You can decide whether to leave a percentage or the entire amount of your retirement account to WWA.

3. Insurance beneficiary designation
Many donors choose to name charities as beneficiaries of their life insurance policies. You can name WWA as the primary or secondary beneficiary of your life insurance policy by simply contacting your insurance agent.

Whatever you choose, your gift will make a difference for many, many years to come.

If you choose (or have already chosen) to make a legacy gift to WWA, we hope you will let us know. This ensures that we can properly thank you for your gift during your lifetime according to your wishes. Click the button below or contact Tracy Hames or Katie Beilfuss at 608-250-9971. Thank you!
