Thanks to the generosity of our members and supporters, Wisconsin Wetlands Association (WWA) is growing. Our community of people who care about wetlands is broader and more diverse. Our budget is larger to support a growing staff and programming.
But growth is more than the number of members or a larger budget. Growth means effectively getting the word out about why wetlands are important to more and more people across the state. And successful growth requires good planning.
To that end, over the past months and with your input, WWA has developed a Strategic Plan for our next five years.
- We’re refining and expanding our policy and outreach work.
- We’re updating our internal operations.
- We’re cultivating and sustaining effective leadership at all levels.
- We’re increasing connections within our community of wetland lovers!
Our mission and vision remain the same:
Our mission: We are dedicated to the protection, restoration, and enjoyment of wetlands and associated ecosystems through science-based programs, education, and advocacy.
Our vision: We envision a state where wetlands are healthy and plentiful and support ecological and societal needs and where citizens care for, appreciate, and interact with these natural resources.
Our values: We are collaborative, enthusiastic, non-partisan, impact-driven, science based, and solution-oriented. Read more about these values in our strategic plan.
Your support brings this plan to reality. As you make your plans for year-end giving, please consider making a gift to Wisconsin Wetlands Association. With your support, the future of Wisconsin’s wetlands is bright.
