While there’s something for everyone to learn at our 2017 Wetland Science Conference, the conference is an especially great place for college and graduate students of all backgrounds. Attending a conference is a great way to learn about careers, deepen your research, and meet lots of fellow science nerds. Here’s three reasons you don’t want to miss the conference:
1. Your registration is half off!
To encourage students to attend our wetland science conference, we offer 50% off registration for students who are currently enrolled in a college or university. We ask students to show a student ID at registration to confirm their discount. We also offer a limited number of student scholarships. Thanks to the Nature Conservancy of Wisconsin for sponsoring student scholarships for 2017! Applications for the student scholarship program are due January 13, 2017.
2. You’ll get to network with hundreds of scientists, managers, and consultants
Looking for career advice? Want to make contacts with people in your research field? With more than 300 attendees representing scientific, technical, and professional fields, the wetland science conference is one of the best places for wetland students and young professionals to network. 3. You could win our student presentation competition
The joy of research is its own reward… but a little cash never hurt! For the second year in a row, we’re offering a student presentation competition. All students presenting research at our conference are encouraged to enter this competition that features cash prizes for the winning oral and poster presentations. While the call for presentations has closed for this year, it’s never too late to start planning for next year.
